Plumis Automist has been used to provide an innovative fire safety solution, within a beautiful terraced, two storey house undergoing a loft conversion within the Twickenham area, to ultimately enable the existing open plan layout to remain.
The clients’ builder recommended Plumis Automist after their Local Authority Building Control specified a fire safety solution had to be in place in order to keep their open plan lounge area on the ground floor following the loft conversion. Fire Safety Regulations states a safe means of escape must be in place.
The clients decided to use Plumis Automist after considering the alternatives of building a compartmental wall and installing numerous fire doors within their property. They made the following comments;
“It made sense to use this system as it is so effective yet a very subtle way of protecting your home, it is perfect for a home. Installing fire doors and building walls would have substantially reduced and restricted our living space.”
They were very pleased with the installation process, with the water supply component being fitted during other building works being carried out therefore causing no additional disruption.
